This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Fowey was a fifth
rate, 44-gun, ship. Built by Blades of Hull, launched 14-Aug-1744, 127ft long, 36ft wide and of 528 tons builders measurement. Wrecked in the Gulf of Florida, 26-Jun-1748.
