This the third ship to carry the name HMS Amphion was a wooden screw frigate.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 14-Jan-1846.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1853 and the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Sold 12-Oct-1863.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
