HMS Amphion (1780)  (1st)
5th Rate 32-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Amphion was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 21-Dec-1780, 126ft long, 35ft wide and of 680ft builders measurement.

Captured the American privateer Royal Louise 1781, which was commissioned into the Royal Navy as Albacore.

Blown up 22-Sep-1796.
