HMS Revenge (1805)  (9th)
3rd Rate 74-gun

    
This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Revenge was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 13-Apr-1805, 183ft long, 50ft wide and of 1,954 tons builders measurement.

Fought at the battle of Trafalgar where she suffered light damage with 28 of her crew killed and 51 wounded. (see: Fleets after the Battle).

Broken up Oct-1849.

Won the battle Honours: Trafalgar 1805, Basque Roads 1809 and Syria 1840.
