HMS Echo (1809)  (5th)
Brig-sloop 18-gun

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Echo was a Cruizer Class, 18-gun, brig-sloop

Built by Pelham of Frindsbury, launched 01-Jul-1809, and of 388 tons builders measurement.

On completion served in the English Channel area mainly against French privateers. Captured Capricieux Mar-1810, and La Confiance (16-gun) Feb-1811.

Went to the West Indies 1814 for trade protection duties against American cruisers.

Returned to the UK 1815 and was paid off.

Broken up May-1817.
