Brig-sloop 18-gun

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Echo was an 18-gun brig-sloop.

Originally French (Hussard), captured 05-May-1780 by HMS Nonsuch and renamed, 84ft 7in long and of 271 tons builders measurement, armed with 18 x 6pdr guns.

Wrecked 1791 in Plymouth Sound when driven ashore in a gale.
