This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Chatham was a tender.

Built by King of Dover, launched 1788, and bought 12-Feb-1788. 80ft long, 22ft wide, of 133 tons builders measurement, and armed with 4 x 3pdr guns.

Fitted out 1790, for "remote service", Vancouver's Expedition.

Sold at Jamaica 1830.
