Sheer Hulk

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Chatham was a sheer hulk. (basically a floating crane). One of only three sheer hulk built as such, all other sheer hulks were conversions of old ships.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 1694, broken up 1813, and replaced with a similar ship HMS Chatham (1813).
