This the current HMS Spartan is the sixth ship to carry the name.
She was built by Vickers, launched 07-Apr-1978 and commissioned 1979. In keeping with the traditions of the silent service, the Royal Navy website gives no details of the current Spartan's operations or history. Decommissioned 20-Jan-2006. Further details await more research. Won the Battle Honour: Falkland Islands 1982. |
