HMS Shannon (1875) (8th)

This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Shannon was an iron
screw frigate. Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 11-Dec-1875, 26-ft long, 4ft wide and displacing 5,390 tons. Armed with 2 x 10in, 7 x 9in, 6 x 20pdr guns. Sold 15-Dec-1899 to King of Garston.
