This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Salisbury was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 02-Oct-1769, 146ft long, 40ft 6in wide, and of 1,051 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 13-May-1796 near San Domingo.
