HMS Roebuck (1943) DD  (13th)

    
This the thirteenth ship to carry the name HMS Roebuck was an R Class, destroyer.

Built by Scotts, laid down 19-Jun-1941, launched 10-Dec-1942, and commissioned 10-Jun-1943.

To the Eastern Fleet in South African waters 1943. Then 1944 still with the Eastern Fleet, went to the Indian Ocean where she stayed for the remainder of the war.

Converted to a Type 15 frigate 1951-53 with pennant number F195.

Appeared at the Coronation Review 1953.

Went into reserve Jul-1956.

Refitted and used as a Training ship Nov-1957.

Returned to active service May-1960 to Oct-1962.

Used for underwater explosion trials 1968.

Sold 12-Jun-1968.

Arrived 08-Aug-1968 for breaking at Inverkeithing.

Won the Battle Honours: Sabang 1944, Burma 1944-45 and East Indies 1944-45.
