This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Roebuck was a fifth
rate, 44-gun, ship. Built by Rowcliffe of Southampton, launched 21-Dec-1743, 126ft long, 36ft wide and of 708 tons builders measurement. Sold 03-Jul-1764.
