This the tenth ship to carry the name HMS Roebuck was a fifth rate, 44-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 28-Apr-1774, 140ft long, 38ft wide and of 886 tons builders measurement.

Used as a hospital ship from Jul-1790, then a troopship 1799, the a guard ship 1803, and finally a floating battery 1805.

Broken up at Sheerness Jul-1811.

Won the Battle Honours: Martinique 1794 and Egypt 1801.
