This the second ship to carry the name HMS Hastings was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built by Betts of Woodbridge, launched 17-May-1698, 109ft long, 28ft wide and of 381 tons builders measurement.

Capsized 09-Feb-1707 off Yarmouth.
