This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Active was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 19-Jul-1845, 160ft long, 49ft wide and of 1,627 tons builders measurement.

Renamed the training ship HMS Tyne, 30-Jul-1867.

Renamed HMS Durham 18-Nov-1807.

Sold 12-May-1908, and broken up at Bo'ness.
