This the first ship to carry the name HMS Woodcock was a 4-gun, cutter.

Built by Crane of Yarmouth, launched 11-Apr-1806, 56ft long, 18ft 6in wide and of 76 tons builders measurement. Armed with 4 x 12pdr carronades.

Wrecked at the Azores 13-Feb-1807.
