HMS Warspite (1596) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Warspite was a Galleon
armed with a total of 29-guns. (Also known as HMS Warspight.) Built 1596, of 648 tons builders measurement. Armed with 2 x 60pdr, 2 x 34pdr, 13 x 18pdr, 10 x 9pdr and 2 x 6pdr guns. Used for harbour service 1636. Sold 1649. Won the Battle Honour: Cadiz 1596.
