This the third ship to carry the name HMS Venus was a fifth rate, 46-gun, ship.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 10-Aug-1820, 153ft 6in long, 40ft wide and of 1,069 tons builders measurement.

Loaned to the Marine Society 1848 to 1862 as a training ship.

Sold 07-Oct-1864.
