HMS Tiger (1782)  (6th)

This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Tiger was originally launched as HMS Ardent in 1764.

Ardent was a third rate, 64-gun, ship-of-the-line, built by Blades of Hull, 160ft long, 45ft wide and of 1,376 tons builders measurement. Captured by the French off Plymouth 17-Aug-1779.

Recaptured Apr-1782 and renamed HMS Tiger.

Sold Jun-1782.
