This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Sirius was a 6-gun, wooden screw sloop.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 24-Apr-1868, 212ft long, 36ft wide and of 1,268 tons builders measurement, displacing 1,760 tons. Armed with 2 x 7in and 4 x 64pdr guns.

Sold 1885.
