HMS Sirius (1797)  (2nd)
5th Rate 36-gun

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Sirius was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built by Dudman of Deptford, launched 12-Apr-1797, 149ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,049 tons builders measurement.

Destroyed at Mauritius, 24-Aug-1810 to avoid capture by the French.

Won the Battle Honour: Trafalgar 1805.
