This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Ruby was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built by Ewer of Bursledon, launched 03-Aug-1745, 141ft 6in long, 40ft 6in wide and of 989 tons builders measurement.

Broken up at Plymouth May-1765.
