This the second ship to carry the name HMS Rocket was a wooden paddle tender.

Built by Fairburn of Limehouse, launched Jul-1842, 90ft long, 12ft 6in wide and of 70 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Jun-1850 at Woolwich.
