Composite Screw Sloop 6-gun

     
This the thirteenth ship to carry the name HMS Pelican was a 6-gun, composite screw sloop.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 26-Apr-1877, 170ft long, 36ft wide and displacing 1,130 tons. Armed with 2 x 7in and 4 x 64pdr guns.

Sold 22-Jan-1901 to the Hudson Bay Co as a supply ship.

Hulk scuttled 1953.
