Wooden Screw Corvette 21-gun

    
This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Pearl was a 21-gun, wooden screw corvette.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 13-Sep-1855, 200ft long, 40ft 6in wide, of 1,469 tons builders measurement and displacing 2,187 tons. Armed with 20 x 8in and 1 x 68pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Sold Aug-1884 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honours: Amorha 1858 and China 1860.
