This HMS Nile was the third ship to carry the name. One of two
Trafalgar Class Battleships.
Built at Pembroke Dock, laid down in Apr-1886, launched 09-Jul-1888 and completed in Jul-1891. She spent most of her active career in the Mediterranean from 1891-1898. Returned to home waters as guardship Devonport from 1898-1903. After this she went into Reserve and remained there until 1911. Sold 09-Jul-1912.
