HMS Nile (1839)  (2nd)
2nd Rate 92-gun 

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Nile was a second rate, 92-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Plymouth Dockyard, launched 28-Jun-1839, 205ft long, 54ft wide and of 2,598 tons builders measurement. 

Converted to a screw ship 30-Jan-1854, of 2,622 tons builders measurement.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Renamed HMS Conway and changed to a training ship 24-Jul-1876.

Stranded in the Menai Strait 14-Apr-1952.

Wreck burned 31-Oct-1956.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
