This the second ship to carry the name HMS Monarch was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 20-Jul-1765, 168ft 6in long, 47ft wide, and of 1,612 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Mar-1813.

Won the Battle Honours: St. Vincent 1780, St. Kitts 1782, The Saints 1782, Cape of Good Hope 1795, Camperdown 1797 and Copenhagen 1801.
