This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Magpie was a Dapper Class, 2-gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, laid down 05-Oct-1854, launched 15-Mar-1855 and completed 03-Apr-1855. Engined by Maudslay, Sons & Field.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Wrecked 08-Apr-1864 at Galway Bay.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1855.
