This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Lapwing was one of
20 Acheron Class (1911)
destroyers. Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 17-Feb-1911, launched 29-Jul-1911 and completed Apr-1912. Sold 26-Oct 1921. Won the Battle Honours: Heligoland 1914, Belgian Coast 1914, Dogger Bank 1815 and Jutland 1916.
