This the third ship to carry the name HMS Hardy was a mortar vessel.

Built by Wigram of Blackwall, launched 14-Mar-1855, 65ft long, 21ft wide and of 117 tons builders measurement. Armed with 1 x 13in mortar.

Renamed 19-Oct-1855 as, MV.12.

Sold 21-Apr-1858 at Malta.

Won the Battle Honour: Crimea 1855.
