This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Fearless was a
Scout Class,
torpedo cruiser. Built by NA Co of Barrow, laid down 22-Sep-1884, launched 20-Mar-1886, and completed Jul-1887. On completion served in the Mediterranean from 1888-1900, then returned to the UK for refit then at Sheerness 1901. Went to the China Station 1901-04, after which she returned to the UK to be paid off. Sold 11-Jul-1905, at Portsmouth.
