This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Comus was an 18-gun, sloop.

Originally HMS Comet, built at Pembroke Dock, launched 11-Aug-1828, 113ft 6in long, 31ft wide and of 462 tons builders measurement.

Renamed i 31-Oct-1832.

Breaking up completed at Chatham 10-May-1862.

Won the Battle Honour: China 1856-60.
