This the first ship to carry the name HMS Comus was a sixth rate, 22-gun, ship.

Built by Custance of Yarmouth, launched 28-Aug-1806, 118ft long, 31ft 6in wide and of 522 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 04-Nov-1816 at Newfoundland.

Won the Battle Honour: 'Frederikscoarn' 1807.
