This the second ship to carry the name HMS Chester was a 50-gun, ship-of-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 18-Oct-1708, 130ft long, 35ft wide and of 704 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Aug-1743.

Broken up Feb-1750.
