Wooden Paddle Sloop

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Bulldog was a wooden paddle sloop.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 02-Oct-1845, 190ft long, 36ft wide and of 1,124 tons builders measurement.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1853 and the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Stranded and destroyed 23-Oct-1865 while attacking rebel steamer at Haiti.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
