Sloop 16-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Bulldog was a 16-gun, sloop.

Built by Ladd of Dover, launched 10-Nov-1782, 98ft long, 27ft wide and of 317 tons builders measurement.

Converted to a Bomb Vessel 1798, then used as a powder hulk 1801. Captured by the French 27-Feb-1801, and recaptured 16-Sep-1801.

Breaking up complete Dec-1829.

Won the Battle Honour: St. Lucia 1796.
