HMS Boyne (1692) (1st)

This the first HMS Boyne was a second rate, 80/72-gun, two deck,
ship-of-the-line.
She was built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 21-May-1692, of 157ft long on the deck, 128ft 2in long on the keel, 41ft 3in wide, 17ft 3in deep in the hold, and of 1,160 tons builders measurement (bm). She had an establishment of 80-guns and 500 men in war at home waters or 72-guns and 355 men in peace or war overseas. Rebuilt at Blackwall 1708 when her tonnage increased to 1,301 tons bm. Rebuilt again, this time at Deptford in 1739 with another increase in tonnage to 1,390 tons bm. Became a prison ship 1750. Broken up at Portsmouth by Mar-1763. Won the Battle Honour: Velez Malaga 1704.
