This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Bellona was a third
class cruiser. Built by Hawthorn, laid down 1889, launched 29-Aug-1890 and completed 1891. On completion served at Portsmouth on trials 1891-92, then at the Channel Squadron 1892-97. Refitted at Portsmouth 1898-99. Then to the Fishery protection Squadron 1899-1905, with a detachment to the Mediterranean 1900. Sold 10-Jul-1906.
