This the first ship to carry the name HMS Bellona was a sixth rate, 30-gun, ship.

Originally a French Privateer (Bellone), captured 02-Feb-1747 by HMS Nottingham in the English Channel, 112ft long, 33ft 6in wide and of 541 tons builders measurement.

Sold 02-Feb-1749.
