This the first ship to carry the name HMS Aurora  was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Originally French  (Abenakise), captured 23-Jan-1757 by HMS Unicorn, 144ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 946 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Apr-1763
