HMS Anson (1889) BB  (6th)

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Anson was one of five Admiral Class battleships.

Built at Pembroke Dock laid down Apr-1883, launched 17-Feb-1886 and completed May-1889. 

She was Rear Admiral flagship in the Channel from 1889-93. Then on to the Mediterranean until 1900. A short spell in reserve followed until 1901, when she re-commissioned for a spell in the Home Fleet 1901-04. She paid off in 1904 into Reserve.

Sold 13-Jul-1909 and broken up at Upnor.
