This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Anson was a third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built by Steemson, of Paul near Hull, launched 11-May-1812, 175ft 6in long, 48ft 6in wide and of 1,742 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Jan-1831

Then a convict ship to Tasmania 1844.

Broken up at Hobart 1851.
