This the third ship to carry the name HMS Andromeda was a 6th
rate, 24-gun, ship. Originally American (USS Hannibal), captured 31-Jan-1812 and renamed; 130ft long, 37ft 6in wide and of 812 tons builders measurement. Armed with 22 x 32pdr carronades and 2 x 12pdr guns. Sold 18-Apr-1816.
