This the first ship to carry the name HMS Andromache was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built by Barnard of Deptford, launched 17-Nov-1781, 126ft long, 35ft wide and of 683 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Sep-1811.

Won the Battle Honour: The Saints 1782.
