This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Adventure was a Survey Ship.

Originally a Transport HMS Aid, built by Brindley of Lynn, 105ft 6in long, 26ft wide and of 314 tons builders measurement. Armed with 10 x 12pdr carronades.

Used as a Survey ship from Mar-1817, renamed HMS Adventure 25-May-1821.

Sold 19-Mar-1853.
