HMS Acheron (1931) DD  (6th)

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Acheron was an A Class, destroyer.

Built by Thornycroft, laid down 29-Oct-1928, launched 18-Mar-1930, commissioned 13-Oct-1931.

Took part in the King George V Silver Jubilee Fleet Review 16-Jul-1935.

Sunk 08-Dec-1940 by mine in the English Channel.

Won the Battle Honour: Norway 1940.
