This the second ship to carry the name HMS Acheron was a 2-gun, wooden paddle sloop.

Built at Sheerness Dockyard, launched 23-Aug-1838, 150ft long, 33ft wide and of 722 tons builders measurement. Armed with 2 x 9pdr guns.

Sold 24-Sep-1855 at Sydney.
