HMS Undine (1943) DD  (7th)

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Undine was a U Class, destroyer.

Built by Thornycroft, laid down 18-Mar-1942, launched 01-Jun-1943, and commissioned 23-Dec-1943.

On commissioning served in the Channel, then Jun-1944 completed operations as part of the Normandy landings.

After this it was on to the Mediterranean and duty in the Adriatic.

To the East Indies Early 1945, before moving to the British Pacific Fleet.

Converted to a Type 15 Frigate 1952-54 with the pennant number F141.

Went into reserve 1960.

Arrived for breaking up at Newport 15-Nov-1965.

Won the Battle Honours: Mediterranean 1944, Normandy 1944, Adriatic 1944, Okinawa 1945, and Japan 1945.
